The course is based on Venerable Namgyel 's meditation course, Tranquility - Special Insight Meditation.

Can you control your inner self?

When intense emotions strike, most people find it difficult to cope without practice. A common outcome is being trapped in suffering, feeling as if their mind and body are hijacked by those emotions for hours or even days, unable to find relief.

 

Without clear inner wisdom and compassion, much of our thinking and analysis only solves problems at the mental level, while our hearts remain constantly in turmoil.

 

Inner wisdom is the "insight" that allows us to see the truth behind things.

 

When the mind is noisy, connecting with inner wisdom feels like a power outage, causing instability.

The Inner Peace Programme, a basic meditation course, primarily focuses on practicing observing one's physical and mental state as it is, and one's inner voice, without suppressing or encouraging the arising of thoughts.

 

This act of observing reality itself has effectively calmed the noisy inner world and greatly reduced negative emotions.

This allows for a more stable connection with inner wisdom and compassion.

 

Teacher Venerable Namgyel

Venerable Namgyel is a Western monk who left Australia in his youth to study Buddhism in India and Nepal. For the past thirty years, he has traveled extensively, spreading Buddhism around the world.

 

Besides meditation, the Dharma Master has extensive knowledge of the Lamrim (Tibetan: Path to Enlightenment), a Tibetan Buddhist classic that introduces all the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha in sequence, guiding us to understand and realize the Buddhist path.

 

The course facilitators, Winnie/Athena/Venus/Fion, are some of Venerable Namgyel's students in Hong Kong. They wish to share the teacher's guidance with more students so that their minds are not controlled by their thoughts and emotions.

On a very cold, gloomy weekend, after receiving some distressing news… this face_edited.jp

This evening retreat series helps calm the mind before sleep, letting go of the day's emotions, stress, and anxiety—allowing us to drift off to sleep peacefully and calmly.

 

A simple 20-minute Vipassana meditation session in the evening, with positive motivation, allows you to find peace within through simple yet effective meditation practice.

Mindfulness Workshop

Through a series of experiential activities, we will delve into and learn about compassion and wisdom. By reflecting and sharing together, you will learn practical skills to enhance mindfulness and right understanding in your daily life, promoting inner peace and clarity.

Stretching Class

Focus on your body's awareness and learn how to settle your mind in the present moment through stretching and breathing techniques. With these skills, you will be able to better understand and feel your body, enhancing your mind-body connection.

 

This session was led by Venus & Fion, and the course was based on a meditation course taught by Venerable Namgyel— Tranquility meditation.

 

This is a meditation course taught by the Dharma Master in 2021-2022. Through simple and profound guidance, it leads everyone to understand their own consciousness, to face noisy thoughts and emotions more wisely, to apply inner wisdom in life, and to abide in inner peace.
